To comply with the UK Online Safety Act, we require players located in the UK to verify they are at least 18 years of age in order to unlock voice chat in Vegas Infinite.
This helps to ensure that we provide age-appropriate social features to players in our game.
Below, you can find more information about what this means for your account and about the process of verifying your age.
When is this happening?
The changes will come into effect on 8 September, 2026, with the release of Patch 176.
What is age verification?
Age verification is a feature that allows players to prove to us that they are at least 18 years of age when they access Vegas Infinite.
It allows us to ensure that we deliver age-appropriate experiences to our players, in this case by unlocking access to certain social features.
Why am I being asked to verify my age?
We require all players located in the UK to confirm their age when accessing Vegas Infinite as part of our compliance with the UK Online Safety Act.
Which social features does this apply to?
Successfully completing age verification to prove that you are aged 18 or over will unlock Vegas Infinite’s live audio voice chat feature.
Who does this apply to?
If you have an existing account, or set-up a new account, and you are based in the UK, you will be asked to verify your age to unlock access to Vegas Infinite’s voice chat feature.
What happens if I don’t verify my age?
If you are based in the UK and do not successfully verify your age, you will be able to access Vegas Infinite. However, you will not be able to access Vegas Infinite’s voice chat features.
This means that you will not be able to speak to other players within the game using your microphone and will not be able to hear other players who are using voice chat.
Which platforms does this apply to?
Age verification is required of all players located in the UK who access Vegas Infinite on Meta Quest, PlayStation, Steam, Android and Apple.
What if I have a Vegas Infinite Account?
If you have a Vegas Infinite Account, and successfully verify your age, your access to voice chat will be unlocked on all platforms linked to that account.
If you do not have a Vegas Infinite account, you will be required to verify your age for each platform independently.
Do any time limits apply?
As of September 8th, 2026, if you have an existing account and are located in the UK, you will continue to have access to live audio voice chat for 7 days from your first log in after September 8th (i.e. if you log in on September 8th, you will have access until September 15th, if you log in on September 10th, you will have until September 17th).
If you verify your age during those 7 days, you will retain live audio voice chat features. If you do not, then voice chat will become locked until you choose to verify your age.
You can verify your age any time.
For players located in the UK who are creating a new account as of September 8th, live audio voice chat will be locked by default until you successfully verify your age. You can verify your age at any time.
How do I verify my age?
Simply open the main menu and tap the microphone icon at the bottom left of the main menu. On the ‘Age Verification’ window, enter your preferred email address and tap ‘send’.
We’ll send you an email that contains instructions to complete age verification using Sumsub, Vegas Infinite’s approved third-party age verification service.
The email will contain a link to Sumsub. Click on the link and follow the steps. You can return any time to check on the status of your verification request.
Once your verification is successful, your access to voice chat will be unlocked.

What forms of ID are accepted?
To complete the age verification process, you’ll need to provide a copy of your formal ID, such as a passport or driver’s licence, plus a live selfie check, for security purposes.
What if I have already verified my age on Vegas Infinite?
If you have successfully verified your age in the past as part of Vegas Infinite’s standard checks, you will not need to undergo age verification again. Your access to social features will already be unlocked.

Sumsub is a global verification platform and the approved provider of age verification services to Vegas Infinite.

Age verification is not required for UK players to access Vegas Infinite’s channels on third-party services such as Discord or other social media platforms.
