Slots Tournaments FAQ

Slot Tournaments are hour-long competitive events on the Slots Floor. You pay a buy-in, get a tournament bankroll for the hour, and play the same machine as everyone else in the event. Whoever wins the most chips across the hour finishes first, and the top finishers split a prize pool built from the buy-ins.

What is a Slot Tournament?

A Slot Tournament is a 60-minute competitive event on a single slot machine.

Everyone who enters gets the same tournament bankroll, plays the same machine, and competes over the same hour. Your placement is decided by Total Win: the total of every spin win you land across the event.

Eight tournaments run every day, Wednesday through Sunday, all of them on the Slots Floor.

How do I enter?

Open Slots Tournaments from the Slots Modes pop-up or the Slots games list. You'll see every tournament running that day. Each row shows a countdown to the start, the machine, the buy-in, and how many players have registered so far.

Tap a tournament to see the full details: the machine, the start time, the prize pool, who's already in, and the tournament bankroll you'll receive. Hit Register to pay the buy-in.

You can unregister any time before the start and your buy-in is refunded in full.

What does it cost?

The buy-in you see is the whole price. There's no separate entry fee and nothing is added at checkout.

Vegas Infinite takes a 10% rake out of the prize pool. On a 1,000,000 chip event, you pay 1,000,000, and 900,000 of it goes into the pool with everyone else's.

There's also a free tournament every day at 2:00 PM ET. No buy-in, real prizes, and a house-guaranteed pool that grows as more players register.

What is the tournament bankroll?

When the tournament starts, you're given a tournament bankroll. It's separate from your real chip balance, it only exists for the length of the event, and it never touches your actual bankroll.

Everyone in the event gets the same amount, so everyone starts from the same stack. How big it is depends on the buy-in:

Buy-in (Chips)

The bankroll is shown on the tournament's details pop-up before you register, so you know what you're getting.

When the tournament ends, your tournament bankroll clears. Prizes you win are paid into your real bankroll.

How is my score calculated?

Total Win: the sum of every spin win you land during the tournament.

Every winning spin adds to your Total Win and moves you up the board. A losing spin adds nothing, and no spin ever subtracts. The highest Total Win at the final bell finishes first.

The stat is labelled Total Win everywhere it's shown, on the boards and on your wrist.

You build your total across the full hour, so every winning spin counts toward where you finish.

Does my bet size matter?

Yes. It's the main decision you make during the hour.

A bigger bet produces bigger wins, so your Total Win grows faster. It also burns through your tournament bankroll faster, and once the bankroll is gone you stop adding to your total.

Playing the minimum keeps you spinning for longer. Playing above it could move you up the board quicker. Both approaches win tournaments.

Why does the minimum bet keep going up?

A minimum bet increase is needed for the event to eventually finish. The minimum bet climbs in levels across the hour.

For the first 30 minutes, levels change every 10 minutes and the minimum barely moves, so almost nobody busts early and you have time to play.

For the last 30 minutes, levels change every 5 minutes and the minimum climbs steeply. In the final five minutes you're betting a quarter of your starting bankroll on every spin, and the players still standing have a handful of spins left to move the leaderboard.

Because the ladder is a percentage of your bankroll, every tournament plays the same way whatever the buy-in. Only the numbers on screen change.

The leaderboard shows you the next stake level and a countdown to it, plus roughly how many spins you have left at the current minimum.

What happens when I run out of chips?

When your tournament bankroll can't cover the current minimum bet, you're bust and you can't spin again.

You stay in the tournament:

  • Your Total Win is locked in and still counts. You keep your place on the leaderboard and you can still finish in the money.

  • You stay in the room. Nobody gets kicked out. Plenty of players stay to watch the last ten minutes with a few survivors betting 25% a spin.

Can I join after it's started?

Yes. Registration stays open for 10 minutes after the start, and late entrants get the full tournament bankroll, the same as everyone else.

Those 10 minutes line up exactly with the first stake level, so you never walk into a ladder that's already climbing.

One thing to know: joining late gives you the same stack but less time to build a Total Win.

What are the prizes?

The prize pool is built from the buy-ins, minus the 10% rake, so the more players register, the bigger the pool.

The top 10% of the field gets paid, so payout depth grows with turnout:

  • 40 entrants pays 4 places

  • 200 entrants pays 20 places

  • 500 entrants pays 50 places

First place takes the largest share and it curves down from there. You can see the full prize distribution for any tournament you've registered for, and the pool is shown live on the leaderboard as it grows.

Prizes are settled at the end of the event and paid into your real bankroll.

Where can I see the leaderboard?

Three places, all live and all in sync:

  • Next to your machine. A board spawns beside the slot you're playing.

  • Around the Slots Floor. Large shared boards, readable from anywhere in the room.

  • On your wrist. Under the Slots tab of the Leaderboards panel, for live and final standings.

The board shows the top 20, and your own rank and Total Win get their own label that's always visible, so you know where you stand when you're outside the top 20. Paid places are clearly marked, so you can see whether you're in the money and how far off it you are.

When do tournaments run?

Wednesday through Sunday, 8 events a day, 40 a week. Monday and Tuesday are off.

Start times are 1:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM ET. The 2:00 PM slot is the daily freeroll and 7:00 PM is the day's headline event.

Slot Tournaments never start at the same time as a poker MTT, so you don't have to choose between the two.

Which machine will we be playing?

A different one each time. Every tournament is assigned one machine, drawn from the eligible pool, and no machine repeats within the same day.

The machine is shown in the tournament list and on the details pop-up before you register, so you know what you're entering. Everyone in the event plays that game in tournament configuration.

Are there The Club and The Club+ tournaments?

Yes. Part of the slate is exclusive to The Club and The Club+ subscribers, just like poker MTT subscriber events.

What a subscriber gets is a smaller field competing for the same prize pool, so better odds of finishing in the money. Exclusivity controls who can enter and nothing else. There's no payout multiplier and no separate prize table: 4th place in a The Club event pays what 4th place pays anywhere.

The Club+ members can enter The Club events. The Club members cannot enter The Club+ events.

What if a tournament is full, or doesn't fill?

Every tournament has a minimum and a maximum number of players.

If it fills up, registration closes early and the event shows as Tournament Full. With 8 events a day, the next one is usually no more than a couple of hours away. The daily freeroll is the likeliest to fill, so register early for that one.

If it doesn't reach the minimum, the tournament is cancelled at the start, every buy-in is refunded in full, and you'll get a notification telling you so. You'll never be left waiting in the room for an event that isn't going to happen.

Quick answers

Does the buy-in come out of my chips balance? Yes. The buy-in is paid from your real bankroll. The tournament bankroll you then play with is separate and costs nothing further.

Can I buy the bonus during a tournament? No. Tournaments are base game only. Buy-bonus and bonus features aren't available in tournament play.

Do I need to be there at the start? You can join up to 10 minutes late with the full tournament bankroll. You can also enter the room before kickoff, where there's a shared countdown and a "GO" moment for everyone in the room.

What happens if I leave mid-tournament? Your Total Win stays where you left it, and so does your place on the board. You can come back and keep spinning as long as the clock is running and your tournament bankroll covers the minimum bet.

Do I get reminders? Yes. You'll be notified as the start approaches, when it starts, when it's ending soon, and when it's over. The start notification takes you straight in, and the end notification takes you to the results.

Can I play on PC or mobile? Yes. Slot Tournaments run on VR, Steam/PC, console and mobile, with the same events and prizes everywhere.
